  • Channel to Coast team, ready for whatever the coast throws at us

Huge thanks to RED Equipment for keeping us warm along the way

  • Huge thank you to James and the team at RED Equipment for kitting us out with these incredible dry robes.

Customised with the Channel to Coast logo, they’re going to be a big part of keeping us warm, dry and ready as we take on this challenge around Britain.

Support like this means everything, not just for us, but for helping raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s Society and MS Society.

We’re proud to have you with us on the journey.

  • Final recce before it all begins…

From St Davids round the wild edge of Pembrokeshire to Barry.

Met the brilliant @catmarshallmagic in Solva, one of those chance encounters that just makes the trip.

Then on to Newgale Beach, that long pebble-backed stretch with proper surf rolling in, a real reminder of how quickly this coastline can turn.

Carried on through Freshwater East and Tenby, locking in routes, access, and what this stretch will demand when it counts.

Finished in Barry, now shaping up as the crossing point over to Minehead across the Bristol Channel.

And of course… had to be done… a nod to Gavin & Stacey.

Recce complete. Next stop… the start line.

  • A quick moment to say thank you…

To everyone we met along the way, whether you live and breathe the coast or were just passing through, every bit of advice, every conversation, and every bit of local knowledge has meant a huge amount.

It’s all been taken on board and will play a real part in making this challenge a success.

Most importantly, it helps us push forward with one goal, raising as much as possible for Alzheimer’s Society and MS Society.

We genuinely couldn’t do this without the support.

  • Cardigan Bay to New Quay

This is the groundwork before it all begins. Mapping this stretch properly, because the banks and rocky patches here don’t sit still, they shift with tide and weather, and you need that local knowledge locked in early.

Reading the water, watching the colour changes, marking safe lines and the no-go areas… this leg will definitely keep you honest.

Stayed over in New Quay, it’s a cracking little harbour, but not one for us on the challenge, vehicle access just doesn’t work for the support crew, so it’s a pass for logistics.

That’s exactly why we recce

  • Set off from Conwy, through Deganwy, then down the stunning Menai Strait.

Met some cracking people along the way, Ollie, Mike, Luke & Steve at Plas Menai National Outdoor Centre, top lads.

Carried on into Snowdonia and somehow ended up putting the world to rights over a few in the bar at The Oakeley Arms Hotel.

That’s what it’s all about, good people, great places, and proper memories being made.

  • An incredible evening presenting the Channel to Coast 2026 challenge to the Rotary Club of Enfield

Sharing the story behind the mission, the route, and most importantly the why — supporting both Alzheimer’s and MS charities, causes very close to our hearts.

The support, interest and encouragement in the room was genuinely powerful. These are the moments that remind us this challenge is about so much more than just the miles.

A huge thank you to everyone at the Rotary Club of Enfield for the warm welcome and for getting behind the journey

  • Massive thank you to MRS & Pama for supporting the Channel to Coast challenge.

The Cardo Packtalk is an absolute game changer, crystal clear comms with no wind noise, no background noise… just perfect clarity.

When you’re taking on something like this, communication isn’t a luxury, it’s critical… and this kit delivers.

Proper support like this makes a real difference, thank you.

  • Back at Kingsbury Jet Bike Lake today making a few technical tweaks to the ski ahead of the challenge.
But it wasn’t all work, we made the most of the sunshine, enjoyed the amazing community atmosphere, and Lee got the chance to jump on a smaller ski, very similar to the one he rode across the English Channel back in 1990 (thanks Colin).
To top the day off, we also met the cutest jet-skiing Cockapoo ever.
